Every day, children and families are in need of basic resources like food, water, hygiene products, diapers and more. For instance, there are more than 3 million food insecure children and adults in the United States. Or, struggling families could be one diaper away from neglect because of the high cost of, or lack of access to, diapers. There are numerous examples, but one truth: churches can help provide vital resources that keep families from falling apart.
How can you help?
- Host a Diaper Drive at your church, involving members of your congregation, and distribute diapers to foster families, single moms, struggling families or a pregnancy care center.
- Become a Resource Partner, picking up food and non-food items from a One More Child Compassion Center, to start or strengthen a compassion ministry at your church and distribute items in your community.
- Pack and deliver Backpack Meals to local school children to ensure they won’t go hungry on the weekend. Your church can adopt a school by paying the cost, packing, and delivering meals to a local school OR sponsor a school by making a one-time or ongoing gift to feed hungry students.
- Host a high-energy, fast-paced, and engaging Meal Packing Party with 30 or more members at your church! A FUN way to make a BIG impact in your community.
